Croutons

Samurai Bread croutons are so delicious you can eat them alone. My son Amos used to take them to school as a snack and if any of his friends knew he had some they would disappear at lightning speed! They also make the best caesar salad on the planet.

French Toast

A breakfast treat! Use your favorite French Toast recipe for Samurai Bread the morning after. If you’ve never tried it, I like to sprinkle the milk and egg mixture with Pumpkin Pie Spice.

Rolls

If you find that your dough has risen so much that you're worried about it overflowing in the oven, cut off the extra and use a well greased muffin tin for a few rolls. Or,  just use half the risen dough on purpose in a muffin tin so you have one loaf of bread and rolls! You can let both rise together and bake them at the same temperature. The muffins will probably take a little more than half as long to bake so check them after 30 minutes. Always remember that ovens are different so if yours runs hot or cold you will have to accommodate accordingly..

Roasted Tomatoes

Roasted grape tomatoes can be made and eaten all year round! Organic grape tomatoes are available year round and usually have full flavor for roasting. This particular recipe is a perfect match for Samurai Bread. Enjoy soaking up those juices from the tomatoes that while roasting have been further flavored with garlic and other fresh or dried herbs you have to add. After baking you can also add in your favorite melting cheeses like brie or feta.
